These days teacher are not getting that much respect, also in teaching profession there is not much income or promotions. It discourage people to get into teaching profession.

Ethiopian government should think about this major issue. They can contact the world’s welfare societies to fulfill their educational needs regarding the trained teachers, a number of teachers in all over the world are available who is working as a serve, so government should hire them for their educational growth.

I agree to what Ananya say because teachers are those who shape the future of a child and that is why it is so important to have good teachers and retain them. Esnart has taken a very good step towards societal development and all teachers need to think the same way.

Esnarth has given a very objective presentation of the Malawi primary school teaching scenario. further to what she has said, Malawi still has the best of its primary school teachers teaching in secondary schools where they are also not adequately qualified. The rural teacher hardship allowance was too generalized as three quarters of schools in Malawi are actually in rural areas. The policy should have targeted “hard to reach schools” in order to address hardships of the most disadvantaged teachers and hence make the policy financially feasible. At the moment the policy is also cause for further teacher frustration as Government is failing to sustain it. At the moment Malawian primary school teachers need close support from the Department of Inspection and Advisory services if things have to be made a bit better.
